Client’s profile ?
Number of Data center or Remote Sites to be managed ?
What all are the locations of Client to be managed ?
2. CONTRACT WITH THE CLIENT
Is it 24X7 or 24X5 or any other ?
What is the extent of manageability, like if we have to manage WAN, LAN or provide end to end solution including desktop also ?
3. AT PROCESS FRONT
What all the SLA’s (Service Level Agreement), while working on different requests ?
Do we take care of Incidents/ Tickets, Changes/ Implementations or some other services also ?
What is the approval process, if approval is required, to get any request approved ?
What all are the tools for Catering Requests, Monitoring, Fetching Reports, Any particular device access ?
4. NETWORK
What is the Network Diagram of the client, to be supported ?
Inventory List or What all are the device types present in the network ?
How is the Internet or Intranet network flow ?
What all the spare devices we have in our network, how to get them in case of any requirement ?
Single Point of Failure, in terms of links or devices, at any location ?
5. TEAMS / VENDORS
What all are the teams, with whom we have to co-ordinate, related details ?
What is the process of getting Field Support, What all the contracts we have for Field Support ?
6. KRA’S (KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA’s)
Ask for the KRA’s as per your profile, to get clarity over the working or, to understand the expectations from you.
Thats right Sahil, In every case wether you are joining in a New Organization or New Project, instead of starting randomly & receiving information in pieces. We should ask all this information over the mail from the higher autority, Keep that in your database & with that much information you can work well in the operations, simply hasslefree .. !!
